Limerick will be transformed during the May Bank Holiday weekend as this huge party takes to the city streets.

Riverfest is probably Limerick’s biggest event of the year and a great opportunity for Limerick to showcase the best of the city. There’s rumoured to be huge BBQs, firework displays, fashion shows, live music, street food stalls, street performers and lots more.

“Riverfest 2013 is shaping up to be the best yet, with new attractions being added every day- it truly does celebrate our city, highlighting Limerick’s most treasured resources: the scenic River Shannon, our generous hospitality and the exciting events we have to offer,” Mayor of Limerick, Cllr Gerry McLoughlin

Springsteen’s tenth album, The Wrecking Ball was released earlier this year to become his tenth No.1 Album in the US as well as topping the charts all across Europe (Ireland included).

We are really excited to welcome the boss to Limerick. Tickets are already sold out but it’s a great event for the city and you never know, Bruce might make an appearance at a Limerick bar. (That’s one open mic night I’d pay to go to!)

Here at Robinsnest we’ve already had a huge number of enquiries for affordable accommodation near Thomand Park around Bruce’s concert appearance on 16th July. Limerick hotels, already very expensive, are unsurprisingly cashing in on this event. We’ll put up as many of you as we can but we are booking up fast!
